Toys for Paws

For Christmas and my birthday i decided that i did not want any gifts! I decided i wanted everyone to donate toys, food, beds, blankets, snacks, etc for local rescues and shelters. I contacted several rescues about dropping off the bounty everyone helped me to collect (filled the durango), and no one returned my calls, SO off to PINOLE Animal Shelter. The shelter i grew up with, the one who always helped me find my dog when he would get out over the 4th of july as a kid.

I will be starting another Donation Drive for pets soon, so stay tuned!

Zeus, my new brother

so ive decided to write this blog from both mine and Cams perspective.

Running late already by 10 min, I see this face.

No one wanted him :( he was standing in the middle of the street all alone, no tags, looking confused and lost. Cars were swerving to avoid him instead of stopping to help. Hes the most loving and quiet lil man. Called my parents and asked them to come pick him up, since Cam suffers only child syndrome. He attached himself to my dad instantly, to the point where dad had to ride in the backseat of the car with him. At the vets they checked him out and he was in perfect health, and wasnt chipped either! WHO COULD LET THIS GUY GO? post on craigslist, put fliers out around the neighborhood, and ZERO response about him, who could ditch and leave this face?

Long story short, my parents decided to keep him (my parents have always dealt with me bringing strays home since i was 13 and old enough to take care of them) He went nameless until one day after kicking back with him, i heard him bark for the first time... WOW everyone stopped what they were doing and looked DEEP, LOUD and COMMANDING, just like Zeus striking his thunder, i had never heard him make a sound other than whine if he was left alone.

needless to say he is settled RIGHT in :)
